Cancellation and Refund Policy

When the User Makes a Cancellation

Drivers:

For reservations of 1 day or less:

  • If the Driver cancels 24 hours before the start of their reservation, the Driver will receive a full refund.
  • If the Driver cancels under 24 hours before the start of their reservation, the Driver will receive a refund if the amount is more than the $5 cancelation fee. For Example, if the reservation costed $7, they would get a refund of $2 and if it was $3.50 they will not get a refund but we will charge the card on file $1.50 to total $5.
  • For same day reservations (where your booking was booked on the same day it starts), we offer a 15-minute grace period to allow users time to cancel for any reason. If outside this 15-minute window, regular cancellations fees apply ($5).

Monthly Roll-On Reservation:

  • Provide long-term parking, with our monthly roll over subscription reservations user can cancel at any time. However, in order not to pay for the full month users will need to cancel 24 hours before the next month’s payment is due to be taken. If user cancels less than 24 hours before a fee of 20% will be changed to cancel that booking. If payment has already been taken you will also be charged for the amount of time that has lapsed + 20% fees, and then a refund of the outstanding balance will be sent.

For reservations longer than 1 day:

  • Drivers have a grace period of 24 hours from the time a reservation is made to cancel and get a full refund. This grace period only applies if the cancellation request is made more than 24 hours before the start of the reservation.
  • If the Driver cancels before the start of their reservation, the Driver will be refunded 80% of the total reservation cost.
  • If the Driver cancels after the start of the reservation, the Driver will be refunded 80% of the unused portion of the reservation.

If the Host cancels a reservation, the Driver will always receive a full refund.

By making or requesting a reservation, the Driver agrees to the Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy and pre-authorizes Rent2Park to charge the payment method on file for any applicable cancellation fees or penalties. The maximum penalty for any cancellation is $5/20% for drivers.

Host:

When the Host Makes a Cancellation

8 days or more before the start of the reservation

  • Rent2Park will charge the Host a penalty fee equal to the total reservation value, not to exceed $2.00.

7 days to 24 hours before the start of the reservation:

  • Rent2Park will charge the Host a penalty fee equal to the total reservation value, not to exceed $5.00.

Less than 24 hours before the start of the reservation:

  • Rent2Park will charge the Host a penalty fee equal to the total reservation value, not to exceed $25.00.

Note: If the Host cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice two times within 6 months, Rent2Park reserves the right to suspend the Host’s account for a period up to 6 months.

This may seem hash but by creating a listing, the Host has agreed to the Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy and have pre-authorizes Rent2Park to charge the payment method on file for any applicable cancellation fees or penalties. If the Host does not have a payment method on file, they will be required to input one at the time of the cancellation request. The cancellation will not be completed until the Host has entered a payment method and agreed to pay any cancellation fees or penalties.

Refunds Due to Complaints or Customer Service Issues

Both the Driver and the Host have a 24-hour window from the end of the reservation to submit a complaint. Rent2Park will then review the complaint and determine at its discretion whether or not the Driver is entitled to a refund, or any other action needs to be taken to resolve the dispute. After the 24-hour window, reservations are closed for complaints and no refunds will be processed.
